I've been watching the Balatro University videos which are excellent, but he omits very basic stuff, like how to compare chips to mults, and what to do when all cards are face down.
Am not the OP, but: spammable xmult, with Baron and Idol being the most notable scoring engines for long endless mode runs. Steel and glass cards respectively for extra reach. Mime or Sock'n'buskin/Hack for retriggers. Bloodstone and Ancient Joker can also help, but are less practical.
It's 100% luck based until you're provided with the correct series of cards and boss blinds. The seed is also a red herring, because things like rerolling or discarding a 5 of one suit vs. a 5 of another permanently change the future.
Once you're provided with useful cards, it becomes a matter of strategy, but if you get nothing but useless shit jokers, you're never going to have a working deck.
Why stop there? You could pivot your career into professional poker tourneys. You're a professional actor already, I bet your poker face is stone cold.
lmao, i remember for a while my older brother was struggling to get a run off the ground. i coached him for exactly One (1) run, which was his first win, and he's been pretty good at the game ever since
I legit feel like the game gets harder the more stuff you unlock. I've been trying to level up my least played decks and even on the lower stakes I have been struggling.

Although I did get better at 'deck building' last night.
((Y’know, if you’re not gonna be using it or nothin’…)
you've already beaten every deck on every difficulty, only thing to do is see how fast you can start beating decks
