How do you make a post? I've obviously figured out how to reply to a comment. but the little icons at the side aren't giving me any information as what their functions are.
You’re allowed to change directions in your story whenever you want. If you want something different in the narrative, they can be on board or they can scoot along.
My strategy for the next four years is to avoid all news. Read books, write books, take care of my pets, my friends, my students, and myself. Screw the rest is hidden in my heart. Not proud of it but there we are.
“MATUNUCK” – HYPER-EMOTIONAL BEACH ROMANCE: Story of love, loss, family, romance & forgiveness. Mick moves back to his hometown beach community after 20 years to reconnect & reconcile with parents, family & friends before it’s too late. http://amazon.com/dp/B08NX2WNNM/
I would primarily describe it as dark fantasy with a mix of sci fi, some horror and even Western influences. The main character is like a time traveling gunslinger of sorts. This description does not do the series justice. Look into the connection of The Tower to all of SK’s books. All are connected
If I would not have had a heart attack I would still be working at a library. There was nothing more satisfying than helping all people, but especially the young and old, find how to do research and enlighten their lives.
We take our youngest every two weeks as well! Teach them the value of knowledge and how to continue to learn and they will be able to conquer the craziness of the world.
As long as they remain open, with books. And as long as the books bear no imprimatur, sure. But, just in case, I have my own private stash and still have a bunch I haven't read yet, and another bunch I haven't re-read.

Excuse me, but creating an alternative reality (tongue firmly in check thinking of alternative facts, Ah HEM) is the point now. I want a reality that supports the majority of people to live and thrive. Which means preserving the world we depend on to live. Gasp! Me is radical! No planet. No people.
BTW if your library has programs such as a morning tea/coffee, please go along. I went this morning (1st time), only 1 other person turned up. Still had a great time getting to know one another. Will go again next week.
I'm a librarian so this advice doesn't work for me... I love my job but hate that I can't go to the library to escape anymore! I still have bookstores though! 🤣
I’m very proud of myself for having built the reading room i always wanted, but did not have, growing up.
PS: the fact that i wanted books that i did not have is a testament to the privilege i grew up with -this is the counterbalance that keeps me humble- the fact that this idea wasn’t ‘just mine’.
History has a way of repeating itself, so lets not panic and use it to our advantage for what is to come. We should already be thinking of solutions.💪💪💪💪💪💪
Love the library, and even love the smell of a good book! Really. Don't know if it's the paper or the ink. When I sniff, I look around and see if anyone is watching 🤣😂
Welcome....it is a beautiful place compared to the hellscape of old. FYI there are creepers be prepared to block. Typically, no bio but there have been others who look on the up and up. I think you will like it here.
We still have some small libraries left but it's only a matter of time. Our central library was designed by George Watt in 1872. It's an impressive building indeed, worth a Google. Nothing beats a local library on your doorstep.
The ability of demagogues & autocrats to surprise, to create a new scandal every day, is their superpower. It diminishes attention to the previous day's transgressions & normalizes them. It slowly numbs the senses, including outrage. Values are the only defense. Hold them dear.
Love it! I got my first library card in more than 20+ years! Proud member of the Carnegie Library system! It brought me so much joy to enter a library. I didn't know I needed it in my life until now. #Staycurious
I never even had twitter but people are saying this place is way better so I had to give it a shot. Still waiting for something worthwhile to make my first post about lol
The library and @levarburton.bsky.social raised me. Shout out to the lonely/abused/neglected children who looked for guidance and relief in #books I hung on every word of Mr Roger’s trying to learn how to NOT to be like my abusers and Mr Burton for where to find escape. Angels of the 80’s

But, like, in a prosocial, community-driven way.
Have a good night!
Would it feel more familiar, more like Twitter, if I pretended to be a troll account and started screaming at you over nothing?
😀

First post excitement and jitters all over again.

Though if I want something more up to date, the library would be the next stop.
The biggest problem is that I've run out of wall space for the bookd.
