However no one still has mentioned all what was spoken in 80s about Gulfstream which slows down and which climate changes it can have. And all we have now is literally that. But you surely cannot have billions per day for Gulfstream. Thatβs why is CO2 the main devil.
What's wild are the conservatives in Arizona insisting this sort of insanely extreme heat is a yearly event. It literally isn't, the infrastructure which took extreme heat into account isn't even designed for it.
Not a conservative here but I will say that baking cookies in cars has been around for decades in AZ. Leaves a lovely smell too. The cacti dying off is concerning though. (As was the insane monsoon last Wednesday)
Dead ass we are doomed unless actual laws are put in place to stop nongreen practises. But US gov is a pansy. The government keeps telling us how dire global warming is but then tells everyone to make the choice to be more EF. But its all those big industries and corps. fault, not average citizens.
I remember Monday mornings in an LA September the asphalt school playground, which served as church parking lot Sundays, was riddled with thousands of little round pits where high-heeled church ladies stood and chatted after Mass. Melted highways in Arizona is a logical development 30 years later.
The fact that cactuses are dying is really concerning. Arizona's always been hellishly hot, in the middle of summer you could reliably fry an egg on the sidewalk and spit would audibly sizzle off it. I just hope to God more pools are staying open π
Sure, but because a bunch of conservatives' reactions to this news is "π€£π€£π€£" and "awww.... hot! π π Boo hoo!" the reality that this is bad doesn't matter, apparently.
I love the idea that people complain about melting roads, like something can be done about. That ship has sailed. If you live in Phoenix now, sell and run as fast as you can, it really is the only rational decision left to be made.
I'm currently debating blocking Twitter Blue checks on bluesky
The idea that people think it's ok to kick up to a bigoted demagogue, so he can keep his platform alive, disgusts me
Lmfao Klippenstein is absolutely not part of the problem. The good he does is orders of magnitude more than the harm giving Elmo $8 could ever do. Getting algo priority gives him a bigger megaphone.
Learn how material conditions work, dude, this is liberal moralist nonsense.

But they think itβs normal or somethingβ¦ anything to not regulate the corporations with the most CO2 outputs.

Musk has made it clear he is anti LGBTQ, supportive of racists, & misogynists and clearly doesn't want trans people to even exist.
