Is it just me or is it incredibly infuriating to see folks reading directly from a script? As if none of this is coming from the heart; only from a script their aid put together.
It just shows a lack of conviction from the speaker…IMO
Writing down something & referring to it is generally a sign that it's very important to someone that they get a very specific message across without forgetting effective wording or leaving anything out. People who don't refer to notes often have still planned, memorized, & rehearsed their points.
It's just you. They have a certain amount of time that they need to deliver their remarks within. Speeches deliver from the heart can often Meander and cause confusion. The biggest problem thems have is messaging. They better well write this s*** down and deliver it quickly and succinctly

Not only does this budget steal from the American people but it sets the foundation for this century's Holocaust. For the purge of those in nursing homes, assisted living homes and seriously ill people. 77 million people are on medicaid. These cuts mean certain death for thousands if not millions.
I like this approach. We need our lawmakers to skip the "gotcha" stuff. Get to the point. "You want to be fact checked? Here's the facts..." and state them. Call them LIARS. Take the game to them and sideline the outrage, shout them down with the facts.

Far more that the 48.5% of us that formally voted against Trump do not want him. Almost 1/3 of possible voters did not vote at all. And of the ~third of voting voters who voted for him, many now regret that vote because they voted for lies. This is the reality.

I'm pretty sure calling a fellow Rep a "liar" or accusing them of "lying" violates the House rules on decorum and debate. While there may be value in violating those rules at times, I suspect the speaker didn't want to risk an interruption or being forced to yield his time.
There's a difference between saying generally that a policy position germane to the debate is a "lie" and identifying a statement from a specific member of Congress as a "lie," which might be seen as an ad hominem attack on that member.
When the truth violates the rules. Here is how the current situation has come to be. You can't call anyone a liar in the House, so you can lie like fuck in government.
And he and others need to keep saying it. This is Trump's trick to keep his cult followers in line and believing every word that falls out of his lying pie hole. He repeats lies over and over and over again until it becomes impermeable truth in their mushy brains.
