To America’s 2.3 million federal employees:
Don’t accept a buyout.
Neither Musk nor even Trump has the legal authority to make such an offer.
And even if they did, would you trust them to follow through on it?
Sincerely,
Robert Reich
Former U.S.Secretary of Labor

The only obscure data point is OPM vs. Richmond

If they could fire you, they would.
Lawyer up.
Some will be fired if they do not accept buy-out!
If you can't fire someone because their job has been eliminated, you wind up with a bloated, inefficient government.
The con is simple, yet profound.
Push the skilled out, bring the clowns.
The buyout's a scam, a corporate ruse,
Trump can't be trusted to follow through.
ZERO
We are in crisis.

Good Luck to them.
1. If an employee either retires or resigns as a result of this letter, then they cannot withdraw their retirement or resignation.
2. The government can withdraw the offer at any time even after the employee's acceptance.
3. Employee cannot sue if the government does.
Y'all are doing the right thing and I wish I could make y'all food or smth.
