Last week, the Senate GOP passed a budget that included a $150B increase in military spending.
This week, the House GOP will vote on its own budget — which includes massive cuts to Medicaid and SNAP to pay for more billionaire tax cuts.
This isn't about what we can "afford."

When they told us they're cutting everything that goes to us in order to keep from a deficit increase?
If I didn't know better, I would say they were outright lying to our faces /s
Trump requested that the military reduce spending by 5% each year for the next 5 years.
No budget for the upcoming year has been released. So you're spewing pure conjecture.
"We have many, many, many people who do a phenomenal job on behalf of the American people," he said. "When you're staring down $36 trillion in debt and counting, obviously something has to give."
LIARS!
Let them hear from you!!!
Congressional Democrats should return the favor.
Daily.
Demanding NATO members increase their defence spending while the US backs out?
What do they need that money for? Invading Canada?

So all those cuts they've been talking about in Project 2025, they're about to get legislated?
Sadly, a concerned Collins, and the unpredictable Fetterman-Sinema cannot be depended upon to do the right thing.

While perhaps factually accurate, a) more academic than should be and b) misses the point by light-years.
Say 'to buy more MIC shit, thus line the pockets of USA's MIC'.
Both accurate and on-point.
We should be reducing the defense budget back to an inflation adjusted 2001 budget.
Adjusted for inflation, it should be $550 Billion, not $1 Trillion. That’s $450 billion Bn saved.
