I've stared at these paintings for decades but I'm still blown away by Michael's attention to detail sometimes.

The light in Roland's eyes, the line of his lips, and crease of his cheek. It just says so much to the reader. And where the blood is and isn't on the cloth wrapping his hand is just 🤌.

My dad was a huge fan of your illustrations and passed that love on to me when I started reading this series in my early teens. He sadly passed away before this book was published, but I know he would have been thrilled with this portrait. Amazing work!

Oh! I owned this version!! Amazing to have encountered your artwork in the wild and then finding you here! I thought the image was so striking. Wasn't a huge King fan, but the art was so arresting that I had to try it.
