I’m doing my first long distance open water swim this AM (Chicago Masters Big Shoulders) and if I don’t make it, I want you all to remember that it’s “raises the question” not “begs” and deep dish pizza is not good.

Begs the question is a legit figure of speech that most people use incorrectly. Like deep-dish pizza, it's something you do not have to indulge in if you choose not to but you don't have the authority to eliminate it. Good luck in the water. https://idiomorigins.org/origin/beg-the-question
On the one hand, I feel that I am fighting a losing battle on the proper use of "begs the question". On the other hand, I like deep dish pizza. Congratulations on completing the swim.
I've always found it odd that locals say they don't eat deep dish pizza and it's "for tourists", but they have very definitive opinions on which one is best. Which raises the question: "which is it?"
It may be important to disambiguate Chicago deep dish pizza, which has a similar depth to Detroit and Sicilian pizza, against Chicago STUFFED pizza, which has an entire second pizza on top of a deep dish pizza, and is best eaten rarely. The Giordano’s “personal” size stuffed feeds 2-4 people.

Once a decade sounds about right, though.. wouldn't want too much of a good thing.

The struggle continues
But then I'm used to Minnesota style (thin, almost crackery crust, light sauce, cheese measured in pounds, party cut).
Plus it helps with the whole 'the measure of a pizza is how it tastes out of the fridge the next day' thing.
'Course, I still warm it up a little just to take the edge off.
