I’d like to see more about young progressive women and men, including non-straight and non-white, maybe a few of the hundreds who do community work in economically hard times, and why they aren’t towering with resentment about themselves. And leave out former political staffers, please.

I’m turning 50 this year. My age group was probably the last where buying a home, living comfortably & retiring seemed achievable. I don’t agree with these young men, but can also see where the resentment manifests. It’s a complicated issue, & the first step to solving a problem is understanding it

Affordability is absolutely worth getting resentful about, but what these guys seem to resent is discussion of literally anything else. "A problem that affects you? Who cares, what about me?" If they directed their resentment at the sources of the problem, maybe things wld actually change.

A friend works with two, late 30's I think, single. One has a city property and a 2nd home, the other rents but has significant savings. Not suffering any want or financial hardship in any way. Both whining how horrible this country is. Unreal but are definitely racist, misogynistic and homophobic.
