I have a couple of pairs that are staying close to my feeder. It is heated and still froze today. When I took the other feeder out I had one hovering beside my head, waiting for me to hang it and get out of his way. They know I am the food supplier.

I had one perching at arm’s length today as I returned a filled feeder-freezing here so they are less shy about getting in for a drink. Amazing color, reminded me of peacock shimmer!

Yes. We have Anna's hummingbirds in my area and there was one particular bush where they could almost always be found when the leaves dropped off. I saw the fluorescence one day and then it was gone. I thought I was seeing things! It's quite remarkable how quickly it changes.

The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum had a resident leucistic Anna's hummingbird a few years ago. Poor guy made all the right moves without knowing he wasn't dazzling the females: zero iridescence
