Must be last sitting week of parliament for the year because there's a flood of terrible legislation coming through. This refugee stuff is truly depraved. Yet another race to the depths of cruel depravity for the duopoly.

If they can’t get their criminal funding Bill through they might. Take the chance that the Noalition is the new govt and knowing that they will support it again. This is the important Bill to get through in their view. The others can be used in a campaign. Can’t see why they would go early.

I'm only just starting to get across it all now, so couldn't say for sure. My beat all year has been Gaza and I've been avoiding domestic stuff because I'm overloaded as is. I'd imagine the crueler stuff will pass through with Coalition rubber stamps.
They let the conservatives set the agenda on immigration over a decade ago. Caved to the pressure.
The same has happened more recently with JobSeeker and other payments. They let the conservatives badmouth our fellow Australians and don’t help those people enough because of it.
Labor thinks it can out flank the Coalition on the Right but they under estimate the sheer cruelty Coalition celebrates. If Labor came up with death penalty for asylum seekers, the Coalition would say we must torture them first.
It’s one of the main reasons I probably won’t move back to Australia. I earn less money and live in a better house then I ever did in Aus, and then I get all the infrastructure of Tokyo as a bonus.
Not the only reason, but affordable housing is kinda a big deal for stability of society.
Progressive minority government is what I would prefer. Labor have got rocks in their collective head. The majority of us want gambling reform especially those insidious ads targeting children. Instead, the dickheads focus on banning social media for under 16 yr olds based on dubious evidence. Fools

This legislation will all lapse, unless it gets through the Senate this week, right?

There were ‘things’ before that, but it’s when “the big stuff” really kicked in. 😞

We’ve been sucked in. The process of increasing fascism happened before our eyes.
The conservatives planned this and Labor joined in by presenting a false face.
I'm pissed off at every single rusted on who refused to believe what was right in front of them.
I didn’t mean to suggest it’s just now. It’s just becoming more obvs to more ppl recently tho.
Definitely not a Labor rusted on. Haven’t voted for them for quite a while.
Poetic
Fuck
Meanwhile, most of Australia has become critically unaffordable to rent, which means millions of Aussies are barely hanging on
This Govt are stone cold fucking idiots if they think they're winning a second majority
It's quite incredible in the worst possible way

I absolutely despise both sides.
Sadly, a minority will HAVE to be with one of the very non progressive majors
All the rest of us can do is stack parliament with as many good indies as our electorates allow
(Obvs not happy about the revolting legislation, though…)
