It’s hard for me to justify using “don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good” when “good” is just too strong a word for so many issues
How about “something is better than nothing” or “better late than never”? I think those work!

there's got to be a better way
In the current political climate in America it is so much more important when we're talking about former trump supporters and voters. We NEED them WITH US to defeat trump. What's important is that they are with us now, NOT that they made a mistake before.
“What you accept will continue“. I’m thinking that would make a good protest sign right about now.
1. How to do the thing you're asking them to do.
2. Whether it was worth the effort and risk of doing it.
The second speaks to both.
While this principle is critical in the classroom, it's essential in building community, pushing for social change, and resisting authoritarianism.
