There’s a small bookshop “adult scholastic book fair” at a local brewery

Plus, nostalgia is a hell of a drug
Drafts 'n Drama?
Pints 'n Prints?
Mike, this is the perfect intersection of hobbies, has has this not been done before?
Wish I could have been there myself. 😊
Just wayyyy undershot demand
I’ve answered this literally six times
It’s Minneapolis
The point of a book fair was so each kid got to choose 2 free books…
…all the ones that didn’t get picked were left in the classrooms…
…& you could trade one you picked for one in the classrooms anytime you wanted!
Our PTA always got local businesses to fund it!
Clearly, yours was seriously lacking…
…but I’m glad you managed to get something from the book fair, anyway!
Kudos to those who can and are able to reap the rewards, though. 🥰 🤗
It happened a few times. Every one was very chill.
There was a gas station like two blocks away and people would do coffee runs for each other
What's not to love?
It's referencing Scholastic, which is a publisher that runs book fairs in elementary schools.

I thought it was just us English that queued. Well done!
No need
They say easily a few thousand stopped *in*
Almost everyone I talked to at both bookshops had also noped out of the book fair.
It was it
Thanks for sharing ... 💙😃💙😃💙😃💙

She ignored the "child books" on offer and selected "Planet Earth" by BBC Books, beautiful pictures, and "Step by Step Town Gardens". Yes, I'm lost by that one.
The lady smut shop is very popular 🤷🏻♂️
I'm told it does well, but it's in a very costly rent spot so idk if it does THAT well to stay for long.

Our hard to live with thing is winter.
No one gets out without a catch
That must’ve been a wonderful feeling to watch the kids’ exuberance.
Still have some of their Berenstain Bears and Magic Treehouse books my daughters brought home from theirs.
I accept full responsibility for the older one (33) being a book hoarder.
