I’m seriously considering abandoning 1Password. The recent release has been incredibly slow, causing the sidebar to load for about 3 seconds after I open the UI. I’ve also encountered various issues with the Chrome and Safari plugins, of course. I miss the old days of 1Password. - ThreadSky

1password was the best version of itself about 3 versions ago (I remember when it was instantaneous, and then one update made it laggy, and now it's like a solid several-second lag between activating and filling stuff in the sadness the sadness)

You can meet all your needs with Vaultwarden (Self-hosted Bitwarden). It runs securely behind Tailscale in a homelab environment. The Bitwarden applications work seamlessly across all platforms. I recommend it.

Aslinda bir ara denemistim ama sonrasi gelmedi. Cunku kisiler (Identity) ve notlar da tutuyoruom. Apple'in bir de harici uygulamasi yoktu, o da yeni geldi. Ama ciddi ciddi gecmeyi dusunuyorum bu sefer. Galiba Chrome eklentisi de var artik.

1Password is the perfect example of enshittification. Even the free version of Bitwarden works better for me now. I also liked Proton Pass, but they need more time to add and enhance features.

The new built-in Passwords app in MacOS Sequoia works really nice. After release I didn't feel the need to use third party password managers.

@arslan.io Been hearing that a lot lately. TBH, I’d be the happiest if Apple’s Passwords added features for secure notes and credit cards. Bcs of these two, I’ll be holding onto 1Password just a little longer.
