we're off to Glasgow next month so naturally I'm thinking about what we can eat there. Any Glasgow people with recommendations for lunch or breakfast places??

You could try Champagne Central for a boozy one if you like. I've not done it myself but I suspect they'd do a high tea. It's right in Central Stn so easy to find!
Aha, my territory... Which means I have no idea, since I'm never up and out of the house early enough to get breakfast elsewhere. And given the Scraplet I'm not often out for lunch, either. But I can recommend Paesano for pizza, or Mikaku for Japanese.
The last time I went, it was 3pm, as I walked through the door, I heard the beep of a card payment. Handing over their last doughnut. A tear of mine fell onto the empty counter.
I see. In that case if it's a brunchy type thing you're in the market for I'd suggest Singl End, which is just off Sauchiehall St about 5-10m walk from Waterstones.
Can confirm, the Singl End is amazing. Went to the Merchant city one last weekend with a friend and they had an eggs Benedict with steak instead of ham/bacon... Was divine... Book in advance though, it fills up fast.
Singl End is a good call, yes. Great food, generous portions so you won’t need lunch if you have breakfast here. A fine Bloody Mary too if that’s a factor…
Also recommend Crabshakk (either branch) for seafood.
Aye, I was just about to recommend Singl End in Merchant City. Easy to get there from the city centre. Great breakfast. I'm vegan but the meaty version looked good too https://www.thesingl-end.co.uk/merchant-city
There’s a bakery called Short Long Black on Victoria Rd South Side which makes the best coffee I’ve had in the UK and delicious pastries. A few doors down is the Oxfam bookshop too so I excellent browsing. South Side in general seems to be the place.

"Sorry, we've sold out"
Next time, Tantrum, next time.
Rude Cookies specialise in, well, cookies that say rude & cheeky things on them, so they might be a fun stop for coffee 🙂

Any alternative suggestions?
If you're further out, either Cottonrake on Great Western Road is good.
But if you're in the centre and can only do one, definitely Singl-End if you can.
Also recommend Crabshakk (either branch) for seafood.
They don't allow you to bring babies in after 9... I'm guessing that won't be a problem for you though?
