“Increases in community complaints are expected to result in increases in police-public interactions and, logically, increases in enforcement,” uh, isn't that causation backwards and effectively "the beatings will continue until morale improves"?
Yet New Yorkers keep electing ex-cops as mayors. WTF? WTF? Your police are catching up on the CHP as the most out-of-control policing force in the country.
Love that the NYPD’s explanation for this is that they get more complaints when they make more arrests. (Which, if one measured their success rate by arrest numbers, would mean that they think the “better” they are at their jobs, the more the public will file complaints.)
