Next thing you know they’ll turn 18 and be voting for candidates that address their generations issues instead of bleeding them dry to give me a tax cut. Outrageous!!!!!!!! (And very woke)
So learning about voting is an agenda not something every American should do? How weak do you have to be to try and find an agenda in a person teaching their kid about why their vote matters? Or is this guy just another Nazi scared of everything his parents didn't do for him? Guess I have questions.
Of course it has to be the liberals. You MAGAt cult members don’t want anyone to understand anything other than propaganda misinformation and lies like your orange cult god spews.
Nah, this man is goofin'. He's actually IN the bookstore. If he were a real MAGAt he'd have done a full rant in the front seat of his lifted truck, sunglasses firmly in place. 😁
god forbid retard repubs would want their children to actually be intelligent and succeed in life when they can be stupid ignorant racist and backwards like their parents
Thanks. I did read it as a nice bit of irony. I wrote my reply for those on the right who may read it and turn it into another crusade, who have no sense of irony or humour.
omg they're indoctrinating children to vote now! That's a democratic ideology. Please tell me they only let white boys whose parents own land check it out.
Sadly, there are way too many MAGA’s that have no sense of humor and they say the most ridiculous shit that this seems exactly like something they’d say, ha.
Ya know, in today’s political environment there are many who would mean this seriously. I’m glad yours was the top comment or I’d have thought serious as well.
I'm autistic and I got the sarcasm right away. I did look at context clues and refer it back to the truth that voting is (mostly ) an equal right in this country and not limited to one political party but...oh...yeaaaaah. Um, I totally get why others don't get it. 😆
Funny. Just over your head, literally and figuratively, is a sign indicating that you are in the EDUCATION section of the library/bookstore. Giving children the information to participate in government is responsible parenting and encourages them to understand their civic responsibility.
If the government makes a ridiculous decision, all the more reason for a parent/ guardian/ responsible adult to ensure that children know their rights and responsibilities as a citizen.
You're complaining about the wrong thing. Its education that's a total waste of time and money. Kids need to be in the fields learning about the value of hard work.
Yea because the world doesn't need low IQ like you, to raise kids that only vote what the church tells them. That's why it's a fun game to play voting in kindergarten and teach them to accept that your choice doesn't need to be mine!
*/s* is used on reddit to signal sarcasm for people too full of rage to recognize sarcasm, lol... not telling you how to live your life, but a lot of people seemed to miss your point.
Stop with pushing propaganda, Zach ! We all know that since the last election we’ll never have to vote again. That book belongs in the history section.
Gotta be careful posting something like this is our post-irony society where there is no such thing as critical thinking and everything is taken at face value!
Funny you say this. Have recently been talking about my school era and how we were steered to be civically engaged. Variety of teachers/classes in differing ways. Don’t recall ANY of them steering you to a side. Being informed AND involved was THE thing.
It’s a double liberal whammy: not only are you TEACHING THEM TO VOTE but you’re doing it via a BOOK.
May as well just sign them up for the Red Army now.
I still waiting to see where the concern is. I thought you were going to show cash Patel’s children’s book about King Trump. Which is obviously concerning.
I took my children to vote so they could see what a citizen in this country does. I took them when I volunteered at the homeless women’s day shelter. They were horrified that mothers and babies had no homes. They think volunteering and voting are required to participate in their communities.
Never comply in advance. If we keep saying these kind of things, it is lulling us into the idea that there won't be elections and when it happens we will expect it without much fuss.
They want us putting these kind of ideas out there, especially in groups who are against their tyranny
Oh I wouldn't worry about that. It's just basically your book telling them how the book Republican if there is still voting when they're old enough. I know that because the check mark is red.
I always found it amazing how many hoops you blighters have to jump through to perform your civic duty. The last couple of elections I've turned up about half an hour before closing, cast my vote in minutes and generally spent more time parking my car than the whole process of voting.
When the reality is more absurd than the sarcasm, it can be difficult to sift one from the other. Perhaps add a: /s tag at the end of your comments so there can be no confusion. MAGAts would literally have said this and meant it, though you didn’t. Just a suggestion…
I was taught all my life of the importance of voting. I wasn’t taught what or whom to vote for, but to vote. And yes I was taught at home and in school. In school it was called ‘Civics’ and it helped me be a better citizen. What’s your excuse?
The text is in blue clearly trying to turn kids into libs. The red accents are only there as a subtle nod that both red and blue can coexist in one body which is a dog whistle for LGBTQ wokeness. Don't even get me started on the wokeness behind 'ING' verbs.
Kids need to learn how to vote before they are eligible to vote. Like learning to drive a car before getting your license and using it to drive to vote for a felon, a fraud or a narcissistic psychopath. Not that I am saying someone did that.
Carter was the first president I voted for. I was furious how he was treated and cheated by Republicans. I've hated Republicans ever since. They are the scum of the earth.
Every book in that store is in agreement with the teachings of Greg Abbot. Therefore superfluous. Burn them. Or, they are in disagreement, so…burn them.
Are you one of those people that think teaching children ideas and to think for themselves is dangerous? It looks like it, doesn't it. Let's keep women and children pretty and stupid, eh, everything else is "liberal indoctrination", right?

You’re supposed to be clear if you’re joking, this kind of post leads to instant blocking.
Unless, of course, you’re a parent of girls?
Satire, people. Calm down.
I heard half the people in Texas are functionally illiterate?. Uhm... can you even read that book?.

No guarantee many Texas parents would not complain about a voting book being dangerous in today's climate. Challenge them all.

What on earth is Juneteenth?
I believe it was 2 years AFTER they were freed.
We suck.
This is all knee jerk.
In fact, I'm going to start calling ignorant conservative bullshit Felon 47 understanding. Cause he knows nothing. And neither do you.
Sarcasm has never come across well, if at all, in digital media. I always find it strange when people complain that others don't get the sarcasm.
*clutches pearls*
Also, I lol'd.
Kids shouldn’t learn about voting?
May as well just sign them up for the Red Army now.
Oh no! I did it again!
There should only be two kinds of bookstores in Texas: "Bible" and "Adult"!
Why you so upset, you can't even read
“Don’t worry about it, honey. You’re just a girl! Your husband will tell you how to vote…if you still have the chance.”
They want us putting these kind of ideas out there, especially in groups who are against their tyranny
☝️ This is sarcasm by the way.

(*denotes sarcasm btw)
"Woke" goes back a looong way! 😜
/sarcasm disclaimer because maga has destroyed our ability to know who's serious (as evidenced in the comments).
