For the record, as I wrote in Nov, I called that DOGE would mostly be leaning on OMB to carry out the actual culling of the workforce. What I’m curious about is when the decision was made to effectively operationalize DOGE and the “DOGE teams” into what they are now

While this needs to be teased out, it seems the Musk-Thiel band of evil had people recruited and ramping up way before the admin really knew the plan.

I'm still pretty skeptical that musk is doing much of anything besides shitpoasting on X for 18 hours a day. I think DOGE is just pulling basically random reports and they are keyword searching them for thing their mob of nazi followers might find sound like waste.

The actual operation is run through OPM & executive orders. And the it's basically 4 things. "Pause" contracts, fire DEI departments, fire recent hires, and a likely rug pull for resignations deal.

The next move will be "section f" which will turn a ton of employees into a status that can be fired at will instead of going through the merit board. Although the recent hires were supposed to go through a merit board but they blew that off.
