One thing I’d love to do is slow down the pace of conversation. On the other site things went so fast that we skimmed the surface of critical knowledge rather than diving deep to really listen and figure out how to apply it. Feels like we need the #systemstheory folk. Where y’all at?

Being quick to the punch becomes less important, so having something interesting to say becomes more important.
Good idea?
What I criticize on X and Bluesky: You only have 300 words for your answer.
Trump is an acute threat to democracy, freedom and education. What can we do to stop it? Who is leading?
By slowing down, we can actually take the time to analyze data and come to a reasonable conclusion.
To me, that seems to be the antithesis to sumbing down.
Lots of trolls in this thread.

Tends to slow things down instead of 24/7 news spraying us with a fire hose of content.

You have to let data inform our thinking, decision-making, our judgments, and learn from them.
To be transformative we have to focus on the long run, develop relationships, & risk ebbs and flows to reach both tangible (quantitative) and values based (qualitative) goals.
Wait - are we saying that even our attention has been commodified?
What a silly question.
What a horrifying thought.
