Don’t think they could mess up anymore than what happened last year.

Pretty sure anything more “human” in communication would certainly do less harm than their now backtracked disaster of last year.

So I don’t get what could possible be afraid of.

I don't have a whole lot of insight but, what's bizarre to me is that there seems to be so many people at unity who would love to be more transparent and talk about things more, but it really seems like there was some decision at some point that, That's Bad, or something, idk

I've only been following Unity's progress semi-casually, but to me it seems like someone up top took the 'no news is good news' mentality and decided that no direction is good direction.

I used to work there. Lots of people internally would love to be more transparent but that doesn't work when the issues are decisions by management that the regular employees disagree with. They voice their concerns internally instead.

Social posts carry no weight with trust gone. Unity threatened to collapse an industry in the name of Unrealised Gains. It was the engine of choice for new devs and studios. Countless yr of training and development time. And the CEO literally told us to go F ourselves and force vibes based billing
