I would guess unity's leadership is terrified of messing up, for, good reason, but the way out of that bind isn't squeaky clean PR filters for all public communication, because the delayed corporate response absolutely tanks trust, and gives people time to construct conspiracy theories

Pretty sure anything more “human” in communication would certainly do less harm than their now backtracked disaster of last year.
So I don’t get what could possible be afraid of.
because those kind of people avoid being perceived as wrong at all costs
