Pasture raised by that brand have always been more expensive. The chickens are not treated as badly as the ones who are in cages or even the "cage free" (they stay inside buildings mostly) ones.

For that particular brand, $7.49 is actually a sale price. Usually $7.99-8.99.

But it's been interesting to note that the organic/ certified humane brand prices have not changed as drastically as the industrial eggs. 🤔
