Depends on what you consider sick. Seasonal allergies can fluctuate quite a bit. Many people consider these reactions to mold, pollen, etc cold-like symptoms, but these are not viral infections. To know for sure, a quantitative study would need to be designed, or reviewed.
I'm in the opposite boat. Used to be constantly sick, now I actually can't remember the last time I had a cold and last had covid 2 years ago. (Knocking on wood)
I quit working when the pandemic hit (my mother is in her 90s & I'm her main carer for transport & groceries) and I have to sadly conclude that avoiding other people is an effective way to stay healthy
Every now and then I get a scratchy throat but that comes from my GrBabies coming from school ; But I diligently wears my masks : I aim for staying well , I drink teas , hand sanitizer & I still wear plastic gloves in certain places esp if it cause for using my hands such as doors cart in restroom
I think it’s a combination of a few things. Work stress can have an affect on your immune system & makes you more susceptible to colds. We take self care seriously & are likely to take rest days. Cities getting bigger, more people = fasting spreading of bugs. Nutritious foods are pricier.
