It’s everything to do with wealth distribution. Canada’s has a much more even distribution of wealth (see tax structures and social programs) whereas in the US governments are elected by promising to cut taxes on the extremely wealthy. Americans consistently vote against their best interests.

You can have both, we can own specific pattens; making it so that we work hard & rest harder, get living wages & equitably task everyone. If you want customers you compete within a free market, if you don't support DEI for example you might become a target & other companies get more customers.❤️‍🔥🌟🦁✝️🧲

The assertion that GDP per capita is skewed by not counting illegal immigrants is not the way the US Census works. It may be imperfect, but it does its best to count everyone resident in the USA, as mandated in the Constitution.
