Hey, @alphastream.bsky.social you've looked at the MM a lot... what is the intended way to tell what kind of armor a monster's wearing - such as for heat metal? because the "gear" section seems super inconsistent in whether it lists armor at all.

On the worn armor vs AC, it was always by the rules okay to just assign an AC, but the MM really tried to reflect worn armor for creatures obviously wearing it. Now it’s like every stat can just have a proficiency bonus to reflect capability, or just assign a number. I don’t actually object to this.
