About the same for me. I started with SUSE back in the day, then switched to Ubuntu around 5.04 (hoary hedgehog) and been on that ever since. Haven't looked back.

20 years is such a big chunk of time but I bet it feels like yesterday.

Little before my time, I've switched after Vista was released. Can't believe it's been 18 years already.

I started with Debian and have tried others too along the way but I've been mostly using different Ubuntu variants because they always seemed to work with least hassle. I settled on Xubuntu a long time ago.

Funny how in the Linux community if someone is using a different distribution to you, you tend not to criticise but think 'cool, that probably works well for them'. Sometimes, I even download a different ISO to boot up and have a look.

I must be a similar vintage for my current streak. My very first Linux installation pre-dates my current one by a few years. The original was Caldera I think and I had to work out how to recompile the kernel to support a CDROM. This is back when CDROM was a new, shiny tech.
