This is most of Nate Bargatze's act, and I think he pulls it off, mostly because he presents himself as being so incompetent generally, not just in those situations.
For me, there’s a fine line because I feel like “my wife makes my life better” comedy can be good! But if it comes from a place of “it seems like I’m intentionally sabotaging my spouse” I don’t like it.
“My wife sucks so much” well why are you two married then, let her be with someone that actually cares about her including if that someone is just her by herself
It's such a lazy form of comedy - and yet when they're confronted on it, they get right into their feels about us being too easily triggered and "not getting comedy"
