Saw a video of nurses at an L.A. hospital, without power, work together as a team in the stairwell to make sure all the meal trays could travel up multiple floors in an assembly line fashion, so they could be delivered to patients.

Nurses are the heart and soul of healthcare. It is the nurses that keep people alive. While training the baby doctors and keeping them from killing any patients. So under appreciated and paid!
We had a human chain of employees going up 26 floors when our medical center flooded & we lost power for 3 days. Teamwork at its finest. My thoughts are with all those in CA.
I wonder if this was on the spot problem solving or extremely thorough planning and training. Either way awesome just curious which….oh or experience might have been vets at the hospital who’ve been to this rodeo.
At my hotel we have backup generators but they only light guest area and HVAC all the kitchens go down as do the staff elevators so this is a thing I can see happening if we needed to move small things quickly
I know that doesn't sound like much to some, but just know it takes quite a few people to coordinate that kind of thing and nurses will always find a solution to a problem.
Correct. When we lose power, generally there's 1 or 2 things in each patient room that stay on. That's it. Often times there's 1 elevator that is on backup but we save it for evacuation/critical need equipment.
Nurses are the best i recently battled cancer and the care and treatment I got from so many nurses and doctors saved my life and has given me more time to enjoy my daughter and granddaughter I couldn't thank them enough!

Well except there are no bombs or bullets going off in the LA hospitals.
