I wear KN95 indoors in all public spaces for 98% of the time. I did not wear one at bars this weekend but I was mostly outdoors. Not weird. It’s weird most people aren’t.
😷 Ppl want to believe that COVID is over. ❌ They want to believe that catching COVID isn’t bad. ❌ There are other airborne viruses in circulation (there have always been) but so many ppl don’t get vaccinated so the likelihood of catching 1 of them ↗️. There are ppl who r immunocompromised whowantlive
I still always mask in indoor settings, such an easy thing to do. I also avoid crowds, never liked them anyway. Being healthy suits me just fine, living my best life. Weirdo? As if I care.
I wear a kn95 while flying for work still. I also see a decent % that wear them on a plane and in airports too. Depends on the city though. Liberal areas around 15% of ppl do, red areas none.
I always do it, and actually here in Toronto I feel like I've seen a *slight* uptick in mask wearing recently? I'm hoping maybe some of the work of disability justice advocates is filtering through, though it also might be more people knowing someone with Long Covid
Thanks for still masking? I also still mask on mass transit and in crowded situations like concerts and feel like a bit of a weirdo. I wish sick people would mask so the pressure wasn't put on everyone else.
We still mask when we go anywhere. I even put my mask on to go through the drive thru’s. You are just being cautious and considerate of the disabled. We also have not had Covid or any other respiratory illness in 5 years. 😀😷
There are pockets in the East Bay where 10-30% of people still mask depending on activity, location, and demographics. A niece visiting from Vegas was amazed to see people in masks at East Oakland bus stops. In Berkeley she noticed rich white customers don't mask but the POC restaurant workers do.
I make decisions based on the situation (indoor dining when I deem it worth the risk, etc.) but always mask on planes and public transportation and most indoor spaces. I don’t know where this idea came from that masks are some huge imposition. They’re not.
If I could get the energy to leave the house, and my nose would stop dripping uncontrollably, and my hideous painful cough would cease, I would be 😷 too. Thank you for you for being the adult in the room.
I’m still regularly seeing masks on the subway. Probably more in BK than the city, but some there too. Sure, not as many as in the past. I wear a kn95 on mass transit & crowded indoor locations.
My oncologist told me masking is no longer useful. In most medical facilities, the only ones wearing masks are providers who may have felt symptomatic that day. I live in a very blue area and rarely see masks.
I’m going to add to my earlier reply. While I feel confident that masking in public places is the correct move, I do often feel crazy being in those same spaces with so many people who do not. Not to overuse the their gaslighting but it kind of feels like that.
You’re not alone. I still mask when I go outside, which isn’t often because I got long covid from a covid infection. Thank you for protecting yourself and your community
I also wear a mask on any sort of mass transportation or in any sort of crowd, including concerts. Because I still have friends and family who are catching COVID and other respiratory illnesses from these places, and thanks but NOPE - none for me.

I can't afford to be sick all the time
TBH at this point, I usually have a mask in all of my pants/shorts, in the back pocket.
