On android, it's become so worse. I randomly get words changed to ones that make no sense, sometimes literal nonsense, and most times I can't even do one click fixes for things it decided was incorrect, on top of missing the majority of actual errors I make

One of my first jobs (1980's) involved a screen reader. If you fed "f**k" to it, it would say "fudge." We programmed around it.

Used to be also if you backed up one space, autocorrect would be undone and type would revert to what you entered. And stay that way. Now you have to re-type whatever it changed
