Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to address whether he engaged in insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021. The nation needs the justices to rule that he did.

They will find a reason to not let it stand because if he is disqualified in one state, he is disqualified in *all* of them.

And, that is indeed a problem. It's easily weaponized, requiring only a single court, anywhere in the country, to disqualify any candidate, for any office.

Now, since they didn't decide to wait for intermediate courts to decide it, that means at least 5 have made up theirminds.
