I'm sorry for being a doomer I just don't really know how to respond to "the country you've lived in your entire life is basically completely broken inside of two weeks"

It's been broken since at least 2016. That was the time to stop this. We had to elect Hillary. Everything since then has been us fighting a tactical withdrawal to regroup. We regrouped with Harris and she lost. We lost the whole shooting match. Now we head towards civil unrest and war.
I think in this case dooming is the appropriate response. We are looking at the US equivalent of the August Coup in two weeks if nobody in the government wakes up to realize the only man more likely to do the sudden yet inevitable betrayal has all of their data, GOP and Dem alike.
The MAGAs don't understand Musk was using them, not the other way around, and that he's gonna be perfectly happy to try to be Don Corleone with paranoid trigger-happy idiots who are a coin toss on if they roll over or not.
At this rate he's actually a legit danger to the fascists we actually did elect as much as the democratic side and we probably ain't getting Isengard vs. Mordor that neatly, but....
"the country you've lived in your entire life is basically completely broken inside of two weeks and people are still expecting you to look at spreadsheets" is what gets to me.
We're all gonna go through periods of doomerism. It's both human nature, and what they want. I've been vascilating between anger and hopelessness the past week. It's terrible. Just gotta look for the victories where they can be found. And remember eventually they will lose, by ballot, or guillotine.
