The judiciary desperately wants to delay that test as long as possible. Because if a contempt order is not followed, then there is no judiciary. And this admin keeps making noises that rhyme with "there's no judiciary."

Contempt powers can be civil or criminal but it looks to me like Trump holds all the cards here.

Trump has full immunity for core powers and presumptive immunity for everything else. Not sure you can hold the executive branch accountable at all when you have no power to enforce your order.
