It's actually our fault, American news decided to use the opposite colors of every other country in the 2000 election and it stuck for some reason

would say that in almost every country in the world red = left leaning for two obvious reasons

They already call us commies for wanting good things for people. I’m ok with not having to also be “reds”

It's fine, just remember your conversions like metric to standard and it's not a big deal!
