You can no longer watch any US news outlets passively. Any news outlet is biased but in the US, they are fighting for their survival. They are in a fight or flight (or comply or resist) mode and it disallows them to bring the often boring nuances necessary for truth.

TBH, i don't think that was ever real. The high point of new accuracy was probably, like, 1990s NPR. It certainly wasn't real time.

The last time I saw straightforward news was in the 70s. Murdoch, followed by CNN, initiated this demise. Now, even the old reliable networks have shown their spinelessness. It's no wonder people have to sift through the minefield of social media for crumbs of truth.
