For those of you who try to visit all 50 states - or who travel a ton - what do you consider “visiting a state” to mean?
To me, if I sleep there - it counts - regardless of doing any sort of “that state” activity or sight-seeing.
Or do you feel you gotta go out & do something?

Like, I’ve never been to most of the northeast. If I connected
through there for any reason I’d probably count it 😆
I once walked across the bridge from Cincy into Kentucky and spent an hour walking around that side (stopping in bookstores, etc). To me, I can now check Kentucky off my list.
I have a friend that is doing this, and I think she is just missing Nebraska. I do not remember her precise standards, but it's more than "slept there," there has to be some sort of activity/purpose.
