You know folks, LibreOffice works great, doesn't cost you a cent, and doesn't have AI or built-in spyware. Just saying.

Yup. Microsoft automatically switched me to the $99.99/year version with Spicy Autocomplete. You have to go all the way through "cancel subscription" to be presented these options and get the $69.99/year one you actually chose.

Similarly and also free, OpenOffice isn't quite as flexible using different file types, but for ppl wanting the MS Office experience, it's very nice.
I my experience, both are better at reading old and really old versions of Word files than Word itself is.
But LibreOffice devs hasn't approached businesses the way Microsoft used to before they got drunk on AI and started spinning their dicks around like a helicopter.
It can do the same jobs as MS Office, but its integration isn't as extensive.
They need to eat the lunch Microsoft abandoned.
