I’m pretty introverted & not really the joiner type but I did join a neighborhood mutual aid group recently & I’ve found that it has really good vibes which goes a long way to not feeling so helpless & frustrated.
This is something I’m going to have to learn how to do once I move somewhere I don’t know people. I’m very introverted even tho I’m a people person and good with people. Make that make sense 😂 I feel that it’s very difficult trying to connect with people online vs in person.
Working on it. People are for some reason very resistant. They “don’t want to hear about it” because “there is nothing they can do” and it “gives them anxiety.” People are exhausted and checked out which is the whole point of this onslaught. It’s working! People need to wake up!
Yeah, Ive been coming across this same thing too unfortunately 😞 it seems lately I've been meeting more people who are more aware of it and not letting it weaken their resolve though, which has been a relief.
I've gone to 2 protests, connected with individuals, and am joining my local indivisible chapter. These not only build a coalition, but also make me feel sane in this cacophony of chaos.
Yup! I’m hosting a once-a-week neighborhood reading group of On Tyranny by @timothysnyder.bsky.social. I’m also doing mutual aid with my local SRA chapter.
My husband and I started volunteering with the local food co-op and are meeting a bunch of new people this way. Not only are we building community ourselves: we're helping other people to connect with one another (food consumers to food producers and vice-versa). It feels great!

I can’t think of one group of people that are not adversely affected by these criminals
