There's not a day that goes by on this app that someone isn't in my mentions claiming that no one is giving them ideas of what they can do. Then I share 100 and I never hear back from them. Always interesting.

wellllll surely you don’t hear from them again because they are then off doing one or some the 100+ things! (they just forgot to cycle back and say thank you.😉)
if one chooses the charitable interpretation, they may be too busy acting on your suggestions to respond, but a more pragmatic interpretation would be that they didn't want their viewpoint challenged and just wanted to whine into the void unopposed 😓
I really want to repost this in support… I have a thread I want to get at about this behavior. In general do you mind a screenshots of posts kept *on app*? New here & I don’t really understand the situation but I want to credit if that’s respectful & leave you out of it if that’s preferred
I got a little fed up today with someone saying why isn't everyone in the streets? and said no one is stopping YOU from being in the streets, join an org, join a TeslaTakedown protest, join Indivisible on April 5, and there was radio silence thereafter.
I don't respond because I don't think it's the actual question they have. I think people who ask the question especially online [not to their friends or the group chat] mostly want someone [else] to [do something] to [fix] everything.
The Fugitive Slave Act is now a pressing reality in Texas, with a new focus targeting on black trans individuals. The Fugitive Trans Act is in full effect, signifying that we are no longer owned by private individuals but rather by the state itself.
This is one of the most aggravating phenomena on this app...and I attribute much of this to clandestine accounts and folks who simply want to complain...and can't be bothered with solutions.

Thank you for posting this, first I've seen it - things are more overwhelming than "normal" right now, and I suspect most of us feel bombarded by calls for action (and donation - "$50 is the new $20", it seems).
you're welcome to use all of our resources available here [including that one]: https://www.librariesforthepeople.org/ - also thank you for what you do as an elected library board member. If you might be open to mentor someone newly getting on their board, please let us know.
Be happy to do what I can to help anyone newly joining a library board. We're a but unique as a special district. We are not part of the city or the county. We have our own tax base, and it has protected us so far from budget cuts. Thank you for all you're doing.
I am going to start writing letters to the elderly, but the links in the document for that don’t work (for me). I found some programs through Google but would love to check which ones you suggest.

been looking into library board.
I’m glad you reached out, so you can receive well-deserved kudos for this useful list.
Now back to refilling the Little Free Food Library!
(thx for sharing, and for the action.❤️)
You post local events, terrific documents that specify how to get started & online meetings for people out of your region.
It is baffling.
I took some feedback shared on the movement memos podcast to heart and did some serious research this weekend.
Inspired and riled!

Thank you so much.

But I will try to do and give what I can.
