A key aspect of building a dictatorship is creating a society of snitches.

Trump's budget proposal would cut all funding for Head Start — the federal preschool program that serves nearly 800,000 kids. (Project 2025 called for this.) The budget would also gut LIHEAP, the program that helps millions of poor families pay their energy bills www.usatoday.com/story/news/e...

Even the WSJ Editorial Board: "Tariffs are advertised in the name of helping American workers, but what do you know? They turn out to favor the powerful and politically connected." On Tariffs, It’s Good to Be Tim Cook www.wsj.com/opinion/on-t...

Exiling people beyond the protection of US law without due process is not only unconstitutional, it's a rejection of the entire American revolutionary project. Sending people "beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences" is one of the grievances enumerated in the Declaration of Independence.

“BRING HIM HOME” 🔥

They are now using force to do their illegal activities!🤬 wapo.st/3RKSQQt

Trump Wants to Merge Government Data. Here Are 314 Things It Might Know About You. 🔥🗽⚖️⚖️🗽🔥 Elon Musk’s team is leading an effort to link government databases, to the alarm of privacy and security experts. 🦋🗽⚖️📘 archive.md/K4xeC

Trump now saying — contrary to his previous statements and those of federal officials — that people removed from the U.S. to El Salvador are in the “sole custody” of El Salvador

Alarming: DOGE now controlling $500B+ in federal grants through grants.gov takeover. When engineers without expertise can block cancer research, cybersecurity & infrastructure funding for political reasons or no reason, US science and innov dominance are done for #DefendScience wapo.st/3XVBjsp

I remember when I was a little kid, “fuck” was the worst thing you could say. Now it’s the most sensible response to everything.

Fraud. Waste. Abuse.

It's not surprising that Trump defers to El Salvador while he threatens Greenland. It IS consistent. In both cases Trump is deferring to Silicon Valley neo-fascists. They dream of seizing Greenland, while El Salvador president Bukele is their guy. He's a test case for a crypto-powered autocracy. 1/

Is there any link between the Trump admin’s “deal” with El Salvador and Bukele’s plan for a “Bitcoin City,” which was going to be scaled back in order to receive loans from the IMF — and Trump admin’s plans to use gold reserves to buy Bitcoin? Or all just coincidence theweek.com/business/eco...

I said it before and I’ll say it again: Target not only turned its back on diversity it spit in our faces. My wife and I haven’t been back since January — and we won’t be. We take our money where people like us are seen, valued, and respected. Solidarity ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏻

The boycott is working, Target’s stock has declined for 10 consecutive weeks. It’s the longest losing streak in the company’s history. I don’t know which business owner needs to hear this, but you don’t magically get conservative customers by betraying your liberal ones. Go anti-woke, go broke. 📉

Donald Trump has denied North Carolina's request for an extension of FEMA relief for damage from Hurricane Helene because hurricanes blow, but Trump sucks.

editor who selected the photo for this article set them up so bad lmao

Bukele would have him on a plane within an hour of Trump asking

Good way to see the current tariffs, as of literally today, is no tariffs on high value add manufactured goods marketed to middle and upper middle classes. Massive tariffs for cheap consumer items which amount to the biggest economic privilege of working class/middle class life in US.

Trump: I am the strongest, most powerful person ever! The whole world lines up to kiss my ass! Courts: Return Kilmer Abrego Garcia from the El Salvador torture prison you sent him to Trump: Sorry. No can do. Totally out of my hands

This is a concession by the U.S. government that its “arrangement” with El Salvador is irrevocable. To me this has to be grounds to argue that the arrangement itself is unconstitutional under the Fifth and Eighth Amendments

How it started // How it’s going

This right here 🔥 “If there was market manipulation, it is a crime. Someone needs to go to jail… I want the documents. I want the Signal chats too, because I don’t trust them — that they weren’t sharing all this information across their Signal chats.” – @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social

An autistic, nonverbal teenage boy who was shot repeatedly by Idaho police from the other side of a chain link fence while he was holding a knife died Saturday after being removed from life support, his family said.

For folks who can't seem to handle multiple thoughts in your pretty little heads: Yes, bad shit is still bad. That does not, however, change the fact that it *is* news that, following Friday's hearing, State has confirmed where Abrego Garcia is and that he is alive.

the transfer to El Salvador of US deportees is, per Pres Bukele, a straight up contract that has “nothing to do w/foreign policy.” The fees we are paying makes their entire prison system “sustainable.” Don’t see how US can make argument that bringing A-G back is some sensitive foreign policy matter

Just saw Stephen Miller outside Tysons Mall getting into a car with his security Told him to his face that he's hurting American families. He didn't look up and his security told me I need to keep moving. I was with my son and holding a Lego bag. These men are weak, cruel cowards.

Say it with us: “constitutional crisis”
