It's natural. Overload is the strategy for depressing resistance. We need to support each other in taking breaks and deciding when we've done enough for today. Take care of yourself.
That's exactly their goal. Keep us bewildered, overwhelmed, isolated, and desolate. Fuckers. It does help me to remind myself that I'm still a badass though, capable and strong, I'm just also a survivor of war tactics as old as war.
What is it you keep saying? Find something in your skill set to work on, find someplace local to plug-in, every little bit helps or something like that.
I repeat the Arthur Ashe quote "do what you can" quote to myself multiple times a day because of the same thought you're having. You can't do everything.
But I also find that this insane level of bullshit makes it easier to organize. People's minds are very open and they're ready to participate.
Then I hear a good friend's admonition to me when she was dying - "you carry on, M. It means you carry all of the burdens and you still live. That's actually life." RIP AB, I miss you every day. But I remember.
Maybe part of growing up is shifting from lamenting the burdens and yearning for someone (an actual or metaphorical parent) to lighten them > to accepting and coping with the weight *and* figuring out how to lighten future generations’.
that’s what my mom said- she gave me life and wanted me to keep on living. no reason to end it if it wasn’t my time, so keep on doing the work. whew. ❤️
