Too many people on here seem to believe there are exactly two kinds of Americans: ardent politically-obsessed Bluesky users, and frothing MAGA cultists.

There are a LOT of people in this country who *just don’t pay a lot of attention one way or another*.

And we absolutely can reach them.

There are also a great many who ARE "plugged in" on the Actual Left, whose eyes are open to the fact that Democrats won't save us.
That Harris promised to continue committing genocide by giving more ammo to 🇮🇱.

So many of them stayed home in "protest", not knowing that Jill Stein was on the ballot.

I know many people who knew about Jill Stein and did not want to vote for her. It’ not accurate to say that the people who didn’t vote would’ve voted for her. Even in states where she did focus her efforts, she could not even account for the slim margins.

And as a reminder, when we knocked doors we had people who still hadn’t hear that Biden was no longer the nominee almost a month after he dropped out. It’s why the Harris team canvassing republicans was so maddening. Those voters were right there for the taking! 2/

When they notice a good friend of theirs from a Mexican cafe has disappeared, or the IRS starts auditing them unexpectedly, or when they go to a museum or gallery and see the censorship.

Where is the personal responsibility of citizens to educate themselves? All this talk about reaching voters seems to absolve EACH individual of actually doing the work of living in a democracy…seems that we all are suffering the consequences of their willful ignorance. Everyone has a cell phone….
