Instead, says Trump acts "in the name of a higher law," like he has God's permission to crime, and that he stands for "liberty" (for himself, maybe) and, even more absurdly, "equality."

Al Capone was known as a symbol of equality while using violence and crime to make himself very rich, and now Donald Trump trying to put himself above the law for his own benefit is championing equality for all.
Beyond inaccurate. It’s reality inversion.
Might as well just have some pop stars sing “A Man Like Putin” and get it over with.
Well... We've lived with this nonsense for most of a decade now, so I can literally believe it, but it's so stupid. So ridiculous.
I doubt the logic is ideological. Much more likely it's the logic of business.
