Notice how all the framing of these cuts and firings is centered on taxpayer savings and not whether it's legal?
You can say that his dissent is hypertechnical and ignores the practical effects of allowing Trump's conduct by trying to delay compensation, and I'd agree with you, but the take you've given instead on Alito's dissent is nonsense.
And if your representative get outvoted by other representatives in Congress, so be it. That's how the Constitution works.
The executive and/or judicial branches ignoring laws and substituting their personal preferences is not.
