Right wing spent a decade or two organizing messaging and memes that pulled MAGA into a hypnotic state of Dear Leader cult worship. The Dems were utterly unaware that this was happening. Meanwhile, the left fabricated equally delusional memes, just of a different style.
Delusional left-wing memes, or delusional right-wing memes? Neither are hard to find. If you are uncertain about "what's delusional", make smalltalk with random construction workers, waitresses, policemen, people at parties ... (I have no substack. Not my thing.)
Someone here said if they had a time machine they would go back to 2016 and run the exact same campaign over and over again until the machine was taken from them.
He’s getting away with literally everything else he’s trying to do so I feel like it’s not incorrect to assume he will in fact be running for a third term.
What's the plan for if he just decides to kill or arrest or exile all the Dem leaders? We can't assume if that happens, that Canada or whoever would intervene
Lol liberals desperately want Trump to run for a third term cuz if the republican nominee isn't a complete wacko then the democratic nominee might have to actually run on something other than "look how bad this guy is!" and "democracy is on the line!".
unironically I think the Democrat plan is to let Trump have four years and then sweep in afterwards because 'he can't run again', but like... they've also totally undermined their own base's trust in them and I don't know if they can actually regain it.
Plus, like, I don't believe for a minute that Vance isn't positioning himself to take power after Trump dies (he's so old that I struggle to believe he won't die in the next 4 years) and he's unironically probably worse than Trump in a lot of ways
Oh I'm sure Dems are a shoo in for the next election, a victory they will certainly squander, and we'll be back here the election after that. Good news is that nobody actually likes or respects JD Vance, so I doubt he'll do well post Trump.
so like here's the thing: he's VP so if Trump dies (which is likely) people not liking him doesn't matter, and Republicans not liking the guy at the top of their movement is like... we both remember how all the 'never Trump' republicans all folded and became dedicated Trump fans when he won, right?
If Vance becomes president I 100% expect that every right winger who dislikes him will sit down, shut up, and work their asses off for him anyway because that's how Republicans operate.
I disagree. Trumps power and the obedience it commands stems from his genuine popularity with the base. Trumpism is deeply personalist. Once he goes, there's going to be some knifing while they sort out the pecking order and I don't see a midwit charisma void like Vance doing well.
He can do like Putin and just stay on a cabinet position or something to buy them time or he can just step in after whoever gets elected resigns. The amendment says someone can't be *elected* more than twice. I bet they'd try something like that and argue its fair because Trump would be appointed
And whether or not he'd be too old or lucid, doesn't matter. He's barely doing anything now, the plan is moving on around him, he's just signing. They like him for the name recognition and for the rabid following he's cultivated but they don't *need* him to do what they're doing right now
It's incredible how stupid these people are. He literally argued to me that Obama ran to Hillary's right in 08 which is just... I don't even know where to begin with that.
So the whole platform now is "Orange Man Bad, but also go fuck yourself if you want things to be better than that are". Surely that will win them elections.

Fascinating cognitive deficiency.
also terrifying
Leftists: What else will you do?
Libs: We'll win the election against the guy who can't run again
Leftists: So you'll punch right?
Libs: We won't stop punching left
*loses election to senile fascist*
Step two: Run against him forever.
Step three: Lose every time.
Step four: Profit.
Don't underestimate the sycophancy of the Republican party, top to bottom.
Besides, the entire Republican party has tied itself to Trump, making them answer for that might be a good call.
