My mind just immediately went to the scene from Bill and Ted where he was eating the ice cream sundae chanting “Ziggy Piggy” but you probably meant Napoleon Dynamite.
I’ve gotten so used to seeing anime pfp weirdos spout out Nazi shit on Twitter that it honestly feels surreal watching someone with an anime pfp spout out liberal nonsense.
I cannot imagine being upset about anything bad happening to Trump and his inner circle, even things I'd be up in arms over being done to serial killers
okay well let's get semantic here.
authoritarianism is not a vibe, it's an ideology. where everything has a structure and some creatures and people are at the top and deserve to enact their will on the creatures and people are the bottom.
however, making a well researched and very conscious decision based on evidence, that will affect many people you've been elected by, is not authoritarian. you are just an authority doing what you've been elected to do. that's democracy. that's what a representative democracy is.
I still stand by it that the Biden admin should have assassinated trump the second the SCOTUS said it was okay for the president to murder people. Politics is so much more complicated than what your personal morals are and pretending that morals are rigid is a useless framework.
i have been begging these useless fucking people to put Trump & co. in a cell for years. he did actual serious historical crimes even by this stupid country's elitist standards, then got re-elected and is doing more brazen crimes. send his entire cabinet to guantanamo
i love when other people I've never met tell me what i would or wouldn't believe or do in a circumstance that isn't even real in the first place. i don't know what point they think they're making, but it ain't the one they think it is.
It's always kinda funny to, as an American, see someone who's just as delusional as Americans about Other Americans, but in a way foreign to most Americans.
You can tell they would not survive having to accept that they are wrong about anything.
I honestly wish that more was done to prevent Trump from getting into power again, I know the system isn't designed for it but he's literally tearing the system down anyways
Dems would 100% percent rally for republican criminals being held to account. Fuck, the democrat party was funding maga campaigns during the midterms under Genocide Joe. Kamabla was literally parading around Liz Cheney.
Hell if Biden sent Trump to a gulag (an American gulag thank you very much it would be horrible to even ask another nation to host him) I'd back Biden for Eternal President and Chairman of the People's Democratic Socialist Party.
Dems got all up in their feelings when Trump said maybe Liz Cheney should have to look down the barrel of a gun if shes so pro young people going to die in Ukraine or for Jizzrael.
FFS dems were practically begging for an endorsement from war criming George Bush and were ecstatic when they got an endorsement from war criminal Dick Cheney.
I literally always think it's funny when Democrats do something vaguely authoritarian just in spite of Republicans. Like when Biden pardoned his son days before leaving office. That shit was hilarious
Even as an anarchist I realize revolution calls for authoritarian action long enough to handle the bad guys. Like you can want and believe in utopian ideals without being stupid
aaaaand blocked. i think they truly think authoritarian is synonymous with evil, because they tried to argue that it wasn’t authoritarian because the thirteenth amendment happened two years later (?)
i think they also believe “legal” is synonymous with “moral”. they said that the emancipation proclamation was “perfectly legal”. so i noted that the day before the emancipation proclamation, slavery was also “perfectly legal”
yeah i don’t understand why someone would ever put forth the “well the emancipation proclamation was legal” argument to something i already said was objectively a good thing. you do that for defenses of evil, usually, and then get lambasted for doing so
like i do believe MOST authoritarianism is bad, but that’s because most people who run for office are evil and self-interested. sending trump to prison via executive order would be objectively good act in an of itself, notwithstanding what all the worst people in america would do as a result
Some people cannot handle that some people have the (correct) worldview that the Constitution is bad and ignoring it to do good things (like sending Trump to a foreign gulag) is Good. Ignoring it to do bad things (like the current admin is doing) is Bad.
They talk about that fucking document like it's equivalent to the laws of physics, as if other countries don't write a new one from scratch every couple decades.
I spent the whole election calling for them to double tap his golf club. Libs are just incapable of believing other people are genuine for reasons I don't fully get.

They really think we're just obstinemt huh? Like they really cannot fathom good faith critique of Brunch as Governance.
This website fucking rules.

i want him UNDER it.

i would have voted for biden if he had sent trump to a gulag.
I mentioned in another recent reply elsewhere but 99% of the time when someone uses that word online unironically I don't take them seriously
supreme court: not authoritarian?
president: authoritarian
congress: tbd?
I think the knock on effects would have likely caused a civil war, but yes, sending Trump to prison would have been hilarious and cool.
