“Sequestering”? Does that mean the CO2 is stored in the material itself?

It's been sequestered as a mineral, rather like a seashell. When it gets ground up, it's simply ground up. Acid treatment could release the carbon dioxide, but if acid treatment is happening on that scale, we have Much Bigger Problems.

Can't overstate how great this could be if it's practical. If we can build the new infrastructure the world, especially the US, needs with this stuff it will move us so far in getting climate change under control.
