We're putting her down. There was a lot of blood last night, so we were worried something may have been torn inside when the kids were being repositioned. We know it's a risk anytime you go in, especially in older does which this one was not, but the alternative is to let them die in childbirth, which is even worse. It's just a shitty no win sometimes.

I’ve got a retired doe who got bred by the Sneaky Fucker in July, had a gorgeous little doeling out of season, and is trying not to die of literal old age now, and this is horrible. Her daughter will be bereft.

There is no fix for this, no correct course of action.
