Standing up for someone, especially a loved one, should always be seen as the right thing to do and saying otherwise shows that you lack the minimum empathy required to be a good person.
Saquon stepping in shows that he has more empathy for someone he doesn't know than Travis has for his own partner

You're not wrong but you're making an assumption that she wants him to say something. My thinking as someone who keeps open communication with their spouse is that they have had previous conversations about how to handle situations like this. We don't know what those conversations entailed.

Maybe she wants him to say something in which case you're right he should. Maybe she told him to let go, say nothing and just let it go away, in which he would be correct in how he's handling it. These are people we don't know, and we shouldn't assume what they feel or want.
