The fucked up part is the Bills were bad for so long, in part, because they were always just mediocre for 17 years. Never bad enough to truly rebuild. The Sabres have won the 1st pick twice and drafted multiple uber talented guys but still can’t piece the rest of it together.

I was born in 1981 and hockey quickly became MY sport and the Sabres MY team. They were exciting and well-respected back MOST of the time until Pegula took over.

I don't recognize this team anymore and don't go out of my way to watch them anymore.

I remember when Pegula bought both teams and his rep as a hockey guy had me hopeful for big things and just kind of relieved the Bills weren't going to move. Never expected it to go this way
