Sadly, independent journalism died when people stopped paying for it as the internet/social media took over. Clickbait is a desperate gasp from the last few survivors. I was a fanatical DVD then Blu-Ray collector when I was younger. But I always wanted a future where I could access my movies at anytime over the web (I researched building my own server, but never did it).

Blu-Ray was never my favorite medium. So I’ve been a little surprised at its resurgence.

We’re in my wished for future now, but obviously we have to contend with services pulling movies on a whim, or rights issues holding a movie in limbo indefinitely.

I just wish there was a better option than BD or 4K Discs.
